Former Valencia infielder Keston Hiura has picked up where he left off.

After hitting 14 home runs last season for the Vikings, Hiura hit two home runs for UC Irvine against Fresno State this past weekend in his collegiate debut.

Another former Southern California player having a big weekend was catcher Arden Pabst at Georgia Tech. The former Harvard-Westlake standout went four for seven with four RBIs in two games.

Former Loyola outfielder Quinn Brodey went three for eight for Stanford in his opening weekend.

Former Chatsworth pitcher Angel Rodriguez threw a complete game in Cal State Northridge's 5-1 win over Gonzaga. Northridge is 4-0 and off to its best start in 13 seasons.
