The man, identified by ESPN as a Nets fan who calls himself Jeffrey Gamblero, was forcibly ejected from the game after "multiple" complaints from others about his behavior, according to a statement from the Knicks.

Gamblero's real name, according to ESPN, is Jeffrey Vanchiro and is an accomplished poker player.

Some fans seemed startled and uncomfortable as the man was being carried out, while screaming, by security.

Those who know of the Vanchiro incident took to social media to say the entire handling of the situation was unacceptable, and while he roots for his team, he did not deserve such treatment.
