Bigger Is Better

The phrase “go big or go home” takes on a special meaning when it comes to shopping in Las Vegas: megastores. After all, why would you shop at the same stores you have back home unless the ones in Vegas are bigger and better? Many retail brands have flagship stores in Las Vegas, and there’s no time like the holiday season to visit them.

One of the city’s most popular (and affordable) flagship stores can be found inside the Forum Shops at Caesars. Located in the former FAO Schwarz space, the Swedish clothing company H&M opened one of its largest locations nationwide in December of 2010. The 60,000-square-foot store spans three levels and features apparel for men, women, children and infants, making it easy to check off several fashionable people on your holiday gift-giving list at once.

Looking for something that’s truly timeless? The Forum Shops is also home to the largest watch store in the world, Tourneau Time Dome. A fixture at the retail center since February of 2005, the 17,700-square-foot store boasts more than 100 watch brands, including Tourneau, Cartier and TAG Heuer.

For even more big designer names, head on over to the Shops at Crystals, which houses more high-end flagship stores than any other shopping center in the United States. These include the world’s largest Tourbillon boutique — showcasing collections from such prestigious watchmakers as Breguet, Jaquet Droz and Omega — and a two-level, 10,000-square-foot Tiffany & Co. that boasts the jeweler’s celebrated diamond engagement rings as well as the signature designs of Frank Gehry and Paloma Picasso.

The Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino also have several flagship stores under one roof, including the only Garrett Popcorn Shops location west of the Mississippi. Be sure to take home some of its best-selling Chicago Mix — a combination of gourmet caramel and cheese popcorn that makes the perfect stocking stuffer.
