Michael C. Hall continues his serial home buying, selling spree
Michael C. Hall has listed a property in Los Feliz at $4.5 million. Considering that the “Dexter” star and serial home buyer purchased the place a year ago at $3.825 million, he may not make much of a killing after improvements and commissions.
The updated 1920s Spanish Colonial and guesthouse feature arched windows, beam ceilings, wrought-iron work, French doors and wood floors. A foyer, living and dining rooms, a library, six bedrooms and six bathrooms are within the 5,618 square feet of living space.

Hall, 43, starred as the murder-minded title character on “Dexter” from 2006 until last year. Before that he was on HBO’s funeral-home drama “Six Feet Under” (2001-05). He was in this year’s big-screen thriller “Cold in July.”
The property is also available for lease at $18,000 a month.

Stylish hues in Sherman Oaks
Neil Patrick Harris of “How I Met Your Mother” fame and his partner, actor David Burtka, put their home in Sherman Oaks up for sale at $2.995 million and in less than a week a deal was in the works.
The Traditional house, built in 1991, is decked out in this year’s popular gray/beige colors. The stylish home has had its own star turns on “Oprah’s Next Chapter” and InStyle magazine.
A formal entry, a step-down living room with a fireplace and built-in window seating and an oversized kitchen that opens to a family room are among the rooms in the two-story home. The 4,191 square feet of living space also contains six bedrooms and five bathrooms.
A built-in pizza oven, a swimming pool and an outdoor shower are among exterior features.
Harris, 41, won a lead actor Tony this year for his role in the Broadway production of “Hedwig and the Angry Inch.” He will star in the fall thriller “Gone Girl.” He has scores of film and television credits, including the title role in the 1989 to 1993 series “Doogie Howser, M.D.”
The property was purchased four years ago for $2.1 million.

Actors fall for Bing Crosby house
Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green, who are hoping to soon be home sellers, have already snatched up a new place in Toluca Lake for $3.35 million.
The contemporary ranch house, built in 1936, was crooner Bing Crosby’s original carriage house. Set on an acre with mature oaks and olive trees, the 6,710-square-foot home was extensively remodeled six years ago.
Features include exposed beams, vaulted ceilings, skylights, a library, a recreation room, four bedrooms and six bathrooms. The 563-square-foot pool house has its own kitchen.
There’s a saltwater pool, a spa and a fire pit.
Fox, 28, is known for the “Transformers” films. She stars in the summer action comedy “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”
Green, 40, has been on the TV series “Anger Management” since it started in 2012. His claim to fame is his role on the series “Beverly Hills, 90210” (1990-2000). He will star in the upcoming horror film “Don’t Blink.”
They have a house for sale in Los Feliz.

Moving up along the beach
Les Moonves, chairman and chief executive of CBS Corp., and his wife, TV personality Julie Chen, have sold their La Costa Beach home in Malibu.
The sales price has yet to appear in the public record, but the most recent asking price was $11.995 million.
The transaction comes as no surprise. Moonves and Chen bought billionaire and Microsoft Corp. co-founder Paul Allen’s place on Carbon Beach this spring for $28.8 million. That house has five bedrooms and seven bathrooms in 6,500 square feet of living space.
On the main level of the house the couple just sold, a great room combines the living room, a dining area and a kitchen with stainless-steel appliances and an island. The rooms open to an ocean-view patio. There are teak floors throughout.
Other rooms in the 3,014 square feet of space include a den/media room, a master bedroom with a fireplace, two guest bedrooms and four bathrooms. The entry courtyard contains a spa.
Moonves, 64, married Chen, 44, a decade ago. Chen has been a news anchor and appears on “The Talk.” She has been the host of “Big Brother” since 2010.
They bought the property in 2008 for $10 million, public records show. The couple also own a house in Beverly Hills.

Space on Wilshire finds a buyer
Buzz Aldrin has parted with his out-of-this-world condo along the Wilshire Corridor for $2,865,955.
Built in 1990, the three-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom condo features an open floor plan, floor-to-ceiling windows and custom built-ins. Outer space includes two balconies.
The corner unit has 3,143 square feet of living area and unobstructed views of the cityscape, the nearby Wilshire Country Club golf course and vast expanses of the cosmos.
Aldrin, 84, was the second man to walk on the moon in 1969.
He paid $1.34 million for the property in 1998, public records show.

A plot twist in Brentwood
Thomas Schulman, an Academy Award-winning screenwriter, has sold his Brentwood home to film producer Michael LaFetra for $10.5 million.
Designed by architect Steven Ehrlich and built in 1992, the Modernist house is set on 1.35 acres at the end of a bamboo-lined driveway. The 9,000-square-foot house is accessed by an entry bridge.
Inside are a two-story living room, two offices, a game room, a media room, a library, five bedrooms and seven bathrooms.
Schulman, also a director and producer, won his Oscar for writing “Dead Poets Society” (1989). Other writing credits include “Welcome to Mooseport” (2004) and “8 Heads in a Duffel Bag” (1997).
LaFetra is a house collector and renovator, often buying homes of note, restoring them and returning them to the market. He has listed the Frank Gehry-designed Schnabel House at slightly less than $15 million.
