Kobe Bryant is preparing to put a full court press on the nation’s TV critics.

The Los Angeles Lakers star is scheduled to appear at this summer’s Television Critics Assn. press tour to promote “Kobe Bryant’s Muse,” a feature-length documentary about his life, inspirations and challenges which will air on Showtime this fall.

The documentary, which is being directed by Gotham Chopra, is currently in production.

Stephen Espinoza, executive vice president and general manager of Showtime Sports, said the film “will offer viewers a deep character portrait of a professional athlete who has transcended his sport to be a culture-moving personality.”

Bryant, who is scheduled to return to the Lakers this season after missing most of last season due to injury, is one of the executive producers of the documentary, along with Chopra.
