2002 Podere Le Boncie ‘Le Trame’ Chianti Classico

Share

Giovanna Morganti, who comes from a long line of winemakers, produces just one wine at Podere Le Boncie, her small estate in Castelnuovo Berardenga east of Siena. Called Le Trame, or “the intrigues,” it’s a Chianti Classico of tremendous grace and elegance. With flavors of dark cherries, wild herbs and earth, it is supple and full of character, a wine to make you fall in love with Chianti -- and Sangiovese -- all over again.

Drink it with pappardelle with a duck ragu, pork roast or grilled chops, or a thick, juicy bistecca.
