Britney Spears, who exchanged wedding vows with dancer Kevin Federline on Sept. 18, has bought a Malibu home for just under $6.9 million.

The traditional-style house has eight bedrooms and eight bathrooms in about 9,000 square feet. The home, built in the ‘80s on slightly more than 1 1/2 acres behind gates, also has a tennis court, pool, spa, gym, gardens and outdoor kitchen.

If the couple hadn’t walked down the aisle at a friend’s San Fernando Valley house, they might have waited until the pop princess purchased this home, which has been described as the perfect place to have a wedding.

It may not be too late. The legality of the September wedding has been questioned due to technicalities involving a pre-nup agreement to protect Spears, whose net worth, including real estate, has been estimated at $32 million.

Spears sold her former L.A.-area home, in the Hollywood Hills, for close to $4 million in June 2003, and she recently listed her New York City condominium at nearly $6 million.

The singer, 22, wears a wedding dress and walks down the aisle with Federline, 26, in a video for her new single, a rendition of Bobby Brown’s “My Prerogative.”

Taking her act out of the Valley

Rachel Hunter, the model-actress who was married to rock star Rod Stewart until 1999, has sold her Mediterranean-style home in the hills of Sherman Oaks in the $2-million range. She had owned the home since early 2003, when it was built.

The house, behind gates, has seven bedrooms and 6 1/2 bathrooms in nearly 6,000 square feet.

The buyer is Anthony R. Rhulen, producer of such upcoming movies as “Raise Your Voice,” starring Hilary Duff, and “The Rum Diary,” starring Johnny Depp.

Hunter, 34, is said to have moved to the Sunset Strip area.

Brett Lawyer of Prudential/John Aaroe, Beverly Hills, represented Rhulen in buying, sources said.

Hope Lange’s condo for sale

The Wilshire condo of actress Hope Lange, who died in December at 70, has come on the market at just under $1.2 million. Lange won two Emmys for her role as Carolyn Muir in the ‘60s TV series “The Ghost and Mrs. Muir.”

She most recently appeared in the film “Clear and Present Danger” (1994).

The condo has two bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms in 2,200 square feet.

The unit also has hardwood floors, floor-to-ceiling windows, a terrace and such common amenities as a pool, tennis court and party room.

Lange, married to theatrical producer Charles Hollerith, kept homes in L.A. and New York.

The 1936 Spanish Colonial house that they sold has four bedrooms and three bathrooms in 3,200 square feet. It also has a tiled pool with city views and, of course, a garden.

Luna has had such hair clients as Anjelica Huston, Candice Bergen and Melanie Griffith. He has designed gardens for Stockard Channing and Ben Stiller.
