Beautiful pictures!! Thank you for sharing. We also checked out the tour at peru-machu-picchu.com and would recommend that as well. This is one of our favorite places to visit and we always recommend it to other travelers, but agree with 1travler as well -- hopefully the place will be able to to stay open for visitors to see and learn from the ruins, without the magic of the place getting spoiled by too many crowds. There was definitely a surge in visitors this year because of the 100th anniversary, but it will likely calm down a bit in the immediate future.

nice photo collage. rather than settling for 3d there's a popular virtual tour online at http://www.peru-machu-picchu.com/ but my concern with Machu Picchu is its becoming too popular. There's already limits on visitors and now I read they are building a dam. I hope this magical place does not get ruined.
