A military convoy departed Twentynine Palms as Marines were ordered deployed to Los Angeles

A spokesperson for the U.S. Northern Command said that the 700 Marines were set to arrive in Los Angeles on Monday. The Marines will work together with the National Guard to protect federal personnel and property, according to an announcement from U.S. Northern Command.
