Mike Aulby of Indianapolis defeated John Gant of Pittsburgh, 245-190, to win the $150,000 Professional Bowlers Assn. tournament at Union City, Calif. It was Aulby’s seventh PBA win and earned him $27,000.
Gant had defeated Guppy Troup of Neptune Beach, Fla., 226-193, and defending champion Butch Soper of Newport Beach, 199-191, to reach the title match.
Aulby took the early 1985 money lead by picking up the $27,000 first prize.
