In the new version of “A Christmas Carol,” Roger (Nicholas Nickleby) Rees as Scrooge’s nephew was again an excellent Dickens character. As for the Cratchits, it was fortunate that Mrs. C. finished her Junior League rounds in time to take the plum pudding from the freezer and pop it in the microwave. And wasn’t it a pleasure to see those “poor” little children enjoy their English goose, unaware that it was really going to he and American Turkey in the end. God help us, everyone.
