A woman who told Bloomington, Ind., police that her boyfriend beat her faced murder charges for killing him by dropping a bowling ball on his head as he slept. Police said Glendon Wininger, 40, of Bloomington, admitted she dropped the ball several times from about waist high onto Steven Detmer, 37, owner of a Bloomington bowling supply company, while he slept in the apartment the couple shared.
