The vice president and head lawyer for Bekins Moving and Storage Co. pleaded guilty to taking kickbacks from outside law firms doing business with the worldwide mover. Ronald L. Hartman could be given 20 years in prison and fined $111,000 when he is sentenced March 4 by U.S. District Court Judge Richard Gadbois Jr. Hartman, 50, was charged with three counts of tax evasion, mail fraud and interstate transportation of funds obtained by fraud.
