Megan Birmingham, a 3-year-old girl revived after being clinically dead, was released from a hospital Tuesday and will continue physical therapy on an out-patient basis, her doctor said.

Dr. Michael Blum said that Megan, 3, was in good condition but would undergo physical therapy for her frost-bitten hands and feet. She went home with her father, Charles Birmingham.

Her mother, Jane, is undergoing psychiatric evaluation in a hospital for allegedly leaving the child in a snow-covered field. The Daily News of Johnson County reported that she had been charged with child endangerment, but authorities would not confirm the report.

A sheriff’s deputy found the girl curled up unconscious in the field Thursday. She was wearing only a light dress and tights and no shoes or coat. A team of doctors worked for several hours to revive her.
