Goetz’s lawyer said that Goetz was “absolutely justified” in shooting four youths who he said had demanded $5 in a Manhattan subway last Dec. 22. “There will never be a plea of guilty in this case,” attorney Joseph Kelner, Goetz’s trial counsel, told a news conference.
