Beavers Honor Quartet for Help to Building Industry

Four construction industry leaders have been honored by The Beavers, a fraternal organization composed of companies and professionals involved in construction and engineering services worldwide.

Receiving 1985 Golden Beaver Awards during the organization’s 30th Anniversary Awards Program at the Century Plaza, were George M. Cox, George T. McCoy, John W. Leonard and Gary W. Tackett.

Cox received the Beaver service-supply award for his legal services over the past 33 years to the construction industry. He is a senior partner of Cox, Castle & Nicholson, a Los Angeles-based law firm.

McCoy, chairman and chief executive officer of Guy F. Atkinson & Co., South San Francisco, received the management award; Leonard, vice president of Morrison-Knudsen Co., Boise, Ida., the engineering award, and Tackett, project manager, Peter Kiewit Sons’ Co., Omaha, Neb., the supervision award.
