A Mexican couple who attracted the attention of authorities when they won a house in a drawing in Kansas City have lost their final round of immigration appeals and have been ordered to leave the country. The U.S. Board of Immigration Appeals last week dismissed an appeal of an Aug. 14th ruling that Jose and Silvia Carmona leave or be deported, said Ron Sanders, district director of the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service in Kansas City. The Carmonas have no further recourse with the immigration service, Sanders said, but they can take the decision to court.
