Youths Drinking Less Alcohol---- Survey
America’s young people are showing continuing signs of reducing their consumption of alcohol, according to the American Council of Life Insurance.
The council’s national survey of 18- to 36-year-olds showed that 64% of the respondents said they were “careful” about their consumption of alcohol.
Similarly, for the second consecutive year, the percentage of high school seniors who reported being “daily users” of alcohol- consuming it 20 or more times a month- dropped in 1983, according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse.
