A Japanese chapter, based in Tokyo, of the International Society of Interior Designers has been formed with a membership of 50 Japanese designers and members of the trade. It is added to the society’s network of U.S. chapters and members in a dozen foreign countries.

The new chapter was formed as a result of attendance at the first Interior Coordinator Festival in Tokyo by American designers June Towill Brown, the society’s president; Jack Levin and Grant Raynham, followed by talks by Towill Brown at several events in Tokyo and Osaka.
