The death Monday of the 70th victim of the Galaxy Airlines plane crash near Reno left just one survivor--a Minnesota teen-ager who walked away from the wreckage.

Robert Miggins, 45, of Plymouth, Minn., died at Southern Nevada Memorial Hospital, where he had been treated since the Jan. 21 crash of the “gamblers’ special” for burns over 90% of his body, nursing supervisor Jackie Griffin said. His wife and three children were with him when he died, Griffin said.

Miggins, George Lamson Sr. and Lamson’s 17-year-old son, George Jr., were the only people aboard the flight to survive the impact, which occurred just after takeoff from Reno to Minneapolis. The elder Lamson died of his injuries Jan. 29. His son, who suffered only minor hand burns and a head cut, was able to return to his St. Paul home last week.
