Police on Friday were seeking three armed men who robbed a Huntington Beach fast-food restaurant of $1,700 after locking two employees in a freezer.

The Taco Bell at 17182 Beach Blvd. had just closed about 11 p.m. Thursday when a man with a shotgun approached the drive-up window and ordered the assistant manager to open the back door, according to Lt. Roger Parker. The three men then took the keys to the safe and herded the assistant manager and another employee into a walk-in freezer, Parker said.

When the employees got out of the freezer about five minutes later, the robbers were gone, Parker added.
