Cost of Living Rises in West Germany, Norway

The cost of living rose 0.6% in West Germany last month and increased 0.7% in Norway, both governments reported.
In Wiesbaden, West Germany, the Federal Statistics Office said the January rise put the cost of living up 2.1% from the level of January, 1984. The 12-month rise was 2% in December and 2.1% in November.
In Oslo, Norway, the government’s Central Bureau of Statistics said consumer prices in January were 5.7% higher than a year earlier.
