Taiwan Says Trade Surplus Widens to $945 Million

HONG KONG —
Taiwan’s trade surplus in January widened to $945 million from $746.9 million a year earlier, the government’s General Directorate of Budget, Accounting and Statistics reported.
Exports in January rose 16% from a year earlier to $2.73 billion, and imports rose 11.25% to $1.79 billion.
