U.S. Climber Dies on Argentine Mountain

MENDOZA, Argentina —
An American climber died Saturday attempting to scale the Aconcagua, the tallest mountain in the Americas, officials said Tuesday.
Police said John Jacobson, 26, a post office employee from Denver, Colo., died because of lung problems as he and two friends were climbing the mountain, which is in the Andes near Chile.
