Hydrogen Leak May Delay Challenger’s Next Launch

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. —
A hydrogen leak and a balky battery cell may delay Monday’s planned launch of space shuttle Challenger for at least a week, NASA officials said Tuesday.
A space agency spokeswoman in Washington said that a conference Tuesday on the shuttle’s problems did not produce a new launch date, but she added, “We are awaiting further information.”
