Fog Shuts Paris Airports

PARIS —
Thick fog blanketing northern France on Thursday grounded air traffic at Paris airports and caused long traffic jams for commuters, police said. Visibility at Orly and Charles de Gaulle international airports was near zero. Incoming flights were diverted to Lyon, Marseilles and Zurich, and outgoing flights were delayed indefinitely.
