Ex-Green Beret to Appeal His Denial of New Trial

RALEIGH, N.C. — Attorneys for Jeffrey MacDonald, the former Green Beret convicted of killing his pregnant wife and two daughters, said Saturday that they will appeal a judge’s ruling Friday denying him a new trial. The move to win a new trial is based on grounds that three other persons had confessed to the slayings.
