MOSCOW —
Soviet Foreign Minister Andrei A. Gromyko warned West Germany today that it will become “an accomplice” to violating the 1972 antiballistic missile treaty if it joins in U.S. research on space weapons.
Tass press agency said Gromyko delivered the warning to West German Foreign Minister Hans-Dietrich Genscher during 4 1/2 hours of hastily arranged talks, part of a flurry of East-West contacts before the start of U.S.-Soviet arms talks in Geneva beginning March 12.
