Guadeloupe Blast Hurts 8

POINTE-A-PITRE, Guadeloupe —
Eight people were injured Wednesday, three seriously, by a lunchtime blast in a restaurant owned by a member of the extreme right-wing National Front party, police said. Guadeloupe, in the Caribbean, is an overseas department of France. Separatist extremists were blamed for a spate of bombings there last year.
