Duke of Marlborough’s Son Admits Burglary

LONDON — The Marquess of Blandford, 29-year-old son of Britain’s Duke of Marlborough and heir to a $40-million fortune, Tuesday pleaded guilty to breaking into a pharmacy here to steal drugs.
Blandford was said to have told police that he was a registered heroin addict who had been using the drug on and off for 3 1/2 years.
Blandford is heir to Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, the birthplace of British wartime leader Winston Churchill.
