Construction has begun on the $65-million Park Del Amo business center, Crenshaw and Sepulveda boulevards, Torrance. The 182-acre mixed-use development will have 850,000 square feet of office space, nearly 1,500 residential units and 43 acres of dedicated open space earmarked by the city for a nature habitat and park.
The phased development calls for the office space to be contained in eight separate three-story buildings on 41 acres. Occupancy of the 212,000-square-foot first phase is scheduled for September.
The developer is Transpacific Development Co., Torrance. The designer is Robert S. Kraft Associates, Irvine; the general contractor is Jones Brothers Construction Co., Beverly Hills, and Coldwell Banker is the exclusive leasing agent for office space.
