Teachers returned to work in Michigan City, Ind., for the first time in more than a month, ending a strike that disrupted high school classes and left 17 schools staffed by substitute teachers. Teachers walked out Feb. 17 after negotiators for their union and the school board failed to reach agreement on a new contract.
