One Vietnamese army corps and several other units, totaling about 15,000 soldiers, will be withdrawn from Cambodia next week, a Vietnamese government source said Friday.

The source, who spoke on condition he not be identified, said the soldiers are scheduled to leave Cambodia on Wednesday. They will go to Pleiku, Vietnam.

Radio Hanoi said they are no longer needed in Cambodia partly because of the victories they have gained in their dry season offensive against the Cambodian resistance groups led by Prince Norodom Sihanouk, the former Cambodian leader.
