PARIS — The brother-in-law of Iranian opposition leader Massoud Rajavi has been executed in Tehran, Rajavi’s Moujahedeen organization said Monday.
A statement from the Paris-based opposition group said Asghar Nazemi was executed last month in Tehran’s Evin Prison along with eight other people.
Nazemi had been arrested in 1981 with his wife, Monir Rajavi, who is still in jail.
The Moujahedeen statement said Iran’s Islamic fundamentalist regime executed at least 57 people last month, most of them in the southwestern city of Ahvaz, 55 miles from the Iraqi border.
