A Stockton woman has pleaded guilty to kidnaping and robbing the elderly mother of San Diego Chargers owner Alex G. Spanos.

Ronca Lee Boyd, 34, was scheduled for a preliminary hearing Tuesday to determine whether she should stand trial, but she admitted the charges in an appearance Friday in Stockton Municipal Court.

Boyd was accused of taking Eva Spanos, 84, out of her Stockton condominium at gunpoint, forcing her to write a $1,000 check and locking her in a storage closet at a condominium complex where Boyd lived, 25 blocks away. Mrs. Spanos was found unharmed about four hours after she disappeared Feb. 15. No ransom demands were made.
