Seminar Planned to Help Widows

RANCHO PALOS VERDES — The city Department of Leisure Services will offer a 10-week seminar to help widowed women deal with the changes in their lives.
The “Widow-to-Widow” support group starts Wednesday running from 2 to 4 p.m. at The Courtyard Mall, 500 Deep Valley Drive. The free program will be directed by gerontologist Phyllis Solow.
There will be group discussions, and guest speakers will discuss such topics as emotional aspects of widowhood, financial management, automobile maintenance, self-defense, developing coping skills and finding new directions in life. Registration information is available from the Department of Leisure Services.
