6 Policemen Kidnaped, Killed in Guatemala

GUATEMALA CITY —
Six national police officers were kidnaped and killed Wednesday in the southern part of the capital, a police spokesman said.
The officers, all 20 or 21 years of age, were each shot several times and hacked with machetes, the spokesman said. He said their weapons and other equipment were taken.
Police said there was no immediate indication who was responsible for the killings.
