Indictment of Goetz
Golly gee, that wonderful New York district attorney and the grand jury must be very proud of themselves now that they have saved all the subway-riding hoodlums from fear of being a victim of the victims. It is a proud day when innocent panhandlers are given immunity so they can testify against the people they approach. (Why do innocents need immunity?) And everybody knows that only four youths could do no harm to one grown man.
I’ll bet Bernhard Goetz learns a lesson from all this--let them have your money and your life, then the DA can plea bargain them to a simple assault or less, and then the lives of these youths will not be ruined.
No wonder so many people “love” New York.
