Kevin Hom, formerly associated with Gibbs & Hill Inc. of New York, has been named vice president and director of design of the Los Angeles office of Arthur Erickson Architects Inc., Los Angeles. He has assumed the role of principal-in-charge of the $1.2 billion California Plaza Development at Bunker Hill for his firm.

Sandy Carey has been promoted to vice president of sales and marketing for Deane Homes, Newport Beach. She joined the firm last fall as director of sales and marketing.

Romualdo Berretti has been named president of Bowlen Holdings Inc., San Diego, succeeding Patrick D. Bowlen, who assumes chairmanship of the company.

Robert L. Santos has been promoted to senior vice president of EastLake Development Co., San Diego. Before joining the company he served as project director for Cadillac Fairview Homes West.

Barbara E. Cline has been named vice president/studio administration, Filmed Entertainment of Columbia Pictures Industries Inc., and is responsible for facilities and space planning.

Jack Edwards has been named vice president of commercial development of Western Empire Development Corp., Irvine, a subsidiary of Western Empire Savings & Loan Assn.

Sally Hahn Jameson has joined R. P. Segerstrom, Los Angeles, as marketing director for design. She was director of marketing for Commuter Transportation Services Inc.

Fred Richter, with more than 25 years experience in golf and country club management, has been named general manager for the Desert Horizons Country Club in Indian Wells.

George Lacko, a William Lyon Co. employee for 25 years, has been promoted to field operations manager for the company’s North Orange County division.

Louis J. Troise has been named senior project manager for the Morley Construction Co. of Los Angeles. He will have responsibility for two Morley projects: the new Sheraton Hotel in Redondo Beach and the Inn at King Harbor.

Loris R. Larsen, formerly vice president of James R. Libby & Associates, will head the newly formed structural engineering division at Klagge, Stevens & Associates Inc., San Diego.

Doris T. Osborne, an 11-year veteran of the real estate and title insurance industries, has been named president of the First American Title Co. of Hawaii Inc., and vice president and state manager of the parent firm, First American Title Insurance Co., Santa Ana, with responsibility for business development in Hawaii.

Robert (Bob) Speer, a director of the Southern California chapter of the National Council of Exchangors, was named Exchangor of the Year at the national organization’s seventh annual Winter Marketing Conference at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Long Beach.

Phillip Langford, formerly associated with Spring Crest Co. of Brea, has been appointed director of marketing of Century 21 Real Estate Corp., Irvine. Richard Spencer has been named vice president of foreign expansion.

Jack Kaiser has been named assistant manager of AGC of California’s Los Angeles district. He previously worked for Morite of California, a hotel/restaurant franchising operation in Westlake.

John R. Kraemer has been named house counsel for Goldrich & Kest Industries and its home development, construction, financing services and management companies. He had served as deputy general counsel for EPIC Holdings Ltd.

Milton E. Naylor, former principal of Lingo Real Estate in Orange County, has been appointed senior vice president of residential brokerage services for Grubb & Ellis Co.’s new Pacific Southwest Region. Phillip D. Royster has been appointed senior vice president of commercial brokerage services in that region. He is a former district manager for the firm’s South Bay office.

Frederick N. Piazza has been appointed senior vice president of production and branch operations for Coldwell Banker Residential Mortgage Services Inc.

Ian J. N. Harrison, former partner and co-founder of Harrison/Lorenzini Architects, Newport Beach, has been named senior design architect at Danielian Associates of that city.

Michael Chumo Jr., president of Irvine Testing Laboratory Inc., has been named vice president of business development for Irvine Soils Engineering. Both firms are subsidiaries of Irvine Consulting Group.
