Richard W. Murphy, President’s Reagan’s special mideast envoy conferred in Jerusalem with Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres and Foreign Minister Yitzhak Shamir. He briefed them on his discussions in Jordan a day earlier with King Hussein involving proposed peace talks between Israel and a joint Palestinian-Jordanian delegation. Murphy will contunue his Mideast trip in Syria and Egypt.
