Belgium expelled a former Libyan diplomat linked to a fatal shooting outside the Libyan Embassy in London last year. Police arrested Omar Ehmeida in Brussels after discovering that he was using a forged passport, then expelled him a day later. Ehmeida was spokesman for his embassy in London when a British policewoman was killed by shots from inside the building during a demonstration by Libyans opposed to the regime of Col. Moammar Kadafi. Ehmeida came to Belgium in February and enrolled at a Brussels university.
