Malibu
Waiva H. Micheletti is the first woman to be elected president of the 38-year-old Malibu Chamber of Commerce.
Other members of the chamber executive committee, installed at a recent dinner, are Peter W. Arnold, Olivia Thornton and Sandy Tomlinson, vice presidents; Jerry Rudy, secretary; R. Leroy Bentley, treasurer; Phil Franklin, immediate past president and Steve Spina and Al Simone, past presidents.
Micheletti has been manager of the Point Dume branch of the Bank of America since October, 1970. She became a chamber board member in 1975 and has served as the organization’s treasurer, third vice president, second vice president and first vice president.
