Iran Sponsoring Art Contest With Anti-Israeli Theme
The Iranian Embassy announced Thursday that it is sponsoring a children’s drawing and writing contest on the theme, “Israel must be erased from the Earth.”
The quote, attributed to the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, Iran’s supreme leader, was carried in a large front-page advertisement placed by the Iranian Embassy in the national Pakistani newspaper, The Muslim.
Pakistani children between the ages of 7 and 15 were invited to draw or write an essay or poem on Palestine as the “victim of the Zionist war.”
The embassy advertisement said prizes will be awarded to the top 20 entries selected.
