Having gone through several weeks of Home magazine at one sitting, I find that I must sit down and write you without further delay.

Although your decorating aspects are often pleasant, I am most disappointed by your repeated use of professional designers. I would bet that most of your readers are unable, rather than able, to afford any designer to decorate their home, for a season or beyond. Perhaps most of your readers work from limited budgets and themselves must create feelings of warmth and caring in their homes.

Please offer decorating ideas that utilize the creative and non-financial resourcefulness of the homeowners (whose dwellings) you choose to illustrate. I read your magazine to find ideas that I can use in my own home, and believe me, that does not include the services of a professional interior decorator. Kris Hodson Yucca Valley
