calculated clutter?

It amazes me that Home continually publishes pictures of the interiors of homes of intelligent people who have resorted to cluttering their home with an abundance of furniture. Their so-called interior designers must be possessed with Victorian minds; they seem to feel that a room must be so cluttered with furniture that no one can move freely about. The designers seem to be promoting the sale of furniture, not home beautification. I’m appalled at their lack of good taste.

I would suggest that those who can afford an interior decorator engage instead a set or scene designer from the stage or film world to really beautify their homes, which would then not only look ideal but be practical as well. Charlie Ashbaugh San Clemente
