Terrorists bombed businesses in two West German cities today, and authorities warned that “spectacular attacks” are possible during the seven-nation economic summit meeting that opens in Bonn on Thursday.

Leftist extremists opposed to the summit, to be attended by President Reagan, claimed responsibility for three bomb blasts in Cologne and Duesseldorf. The explosions caused extensive damage to a chemical concern, an employers’ association and a bank, but no injuries.
