Jerry Lee Lewis’ Condition Upgraded to Satisfactory

Entertainer Jerry Lee Lewis was reported to be “joking and laughing” Wednesday, relieved by tests showing that his internal bleeding was caused by ulcers and not a stomach perforation.

Lewis’ condition was upgraded from critical to satisfactory, and doctors said that he would be moved from the intensive care unit at Methodist Hospital to a private room.
