Woman Pleads Not Guilty to Role in Neo-Nazi Plot : Woman Tied to Killing of Radio Show Host Pleads Not Guilty to Neo-Nazi Plot Charges

The woman suspected of following Denver radio talk show host Alan Berg for a white supremacist group’s hit team was arraigned Thursday in U.S. District Court on racketeering charges alleging that she participated in The Order’s plot to stage a right-wing revolution.

Jean Craig, 52, of Laramie, Wyo., pleaded not guilty to two counts of racketeering before U.S. Magistrate Philip K. Sweigert, who set her trial for June 7.

Prosecutors have accused two dozen of The Order’s members of a wide-ranging conspiracy that included the murder of Berg, a liberal Denver radio talk show host, the execution of another white supremacist and the theft of more than $4 million in armored car and bank robberies.

Craig was named in the 20-count indictment as the person who “surveilled Alan Berg” just before he was killed in a hail of machine-gun fire outside his Denver town house on June 18, 1984.
