Episcoplian Calls for Anti-Apartheid Action

MEMPHIS, Tenn. —
Presiding Bishop John M. Allin of the Episcopal Church has called for increased contacts with sister Anglican churches of South Africa in opposing apartheid policies of racial separation.
He told a meeting of the church’s executive council that “we join with our fellow Anglicans in South Africa whom have been a strong witness against this evil social policy which masquerades as a theology.”
