A $8.2-million senior-housing and personal-care facility, being developed by the Income Property Group, will be built on 4.6 acres at Laguna Drive and Knowles Avenue in Carlsbad.
The 107,021-square-foot structure, to be known as Villas de Carlsbad, will consist of three three-story, interconnected buildings. Construction is expected to begin this summer, with completion scheduled for early 1986.
Designed by Sillman/Wyman & Associates of Sorrento Valley, the facility will provide for 91 one-and two-bedroom living units and will offer kitchenettes as well as access to a restaurant-style dining room on the third floor. Each residential unit will have an emergency call intercom system.
